What is Mulesoft?

·         Mulesoft has created a platform for the integrations since very long, they started integrations with ESPN to the extent of micro services. Today we can even integrate the micro services to start from there. In this Mulesoft Anypoint platform we can design the integrations using their design tools and we can also manage the integrations while they are running.

·         It also provides the runtime for us and it provides the market place where we can publish our integrations and as I said this is a runtime where we can run our applications and you can scale your integrations like anything.

·         You start with a very simple integration and then you can scale your integrations a lot. With Mulesoft Anypoint platform we are going to create a network of indications and this is where Mulesoft Anypoint platform helps us.

·         So what is the benefit of this platform? We can connect any application, we can connect the data to the plugins whatever you are seeing there we call them as nodes. Each node is an integration endpoint and you can connect to any of these nodes and not only that it has connected many systems to different nodes and you can connect nodes without impacting other consumers who are using that node correctly.

·         They can plugin your new systems to this network easily and if you don’t want integration you can also unplug it easily. One more benefit is its all-in-one platform where you can design your application, deploy it and provides a path basically where you can download the applications there and you can deploy the applications.

·         Every company is made up of lot of applications. SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce could be external systems like stripe for payment processing or other cloud based applications. This is what every company deals with.

·         Here is what Mulesoft does, they have tools that allow you to design API’s for the front end of each of these systems and they call all of these system API’s. Mulesoft collectively refers to as an application network. This is the application network that is API lead connectivity.
